I was destined to travel; Zimbabwean-born, South African bred, a British Citizen (I lived there for five years), honorary Australian (my entire family lives there), and I now reside in Knysna with my husband and 2 children.
With over 20 years of experience working in the Travel industry - I am passionate about travelling and love adventuring to new countries and exploring exciting cities and cultures. I'm well-travelled and have visited over 30 countries, but I still have a few more ''must-see'' places on my list, such as Fiji, Vietnam, Alaska Cruise, and spending Christmas in New York. I could go on forever.
My most memorable travel experience is backpacking around Europe for three months at 20 with my now-husband. We visited 17 countries and explored the most beautiful cities and beaches. We met so many amazing people and had the time of our lives! My intriguing favourites are India, Dubai, Israel, Zanzibar, Mauritius, Australia, and South America.
Before I became a Travel Counsellor, I worked for a large leisure retail group (2005 – 2010) and a student travel group (2010 – 2013). I treasure both experiences as they develop me into a knowledgeable travel consultant.
I run my travel franchisee with Travel Counsellors. What I love about being a Travel Counsellor is that I can now offer a specialised, personal, one-on-one service. The flexibility of working from home allows me to be available to my customers 24/7. We are back safe and sound after a seamless trip thanks to you. We kept on thinking of you at each leg of the 4 flights and feeling really thankful for those back of the plane window & aisle seats, they were great. Also just when I was thinking I should double check our flights back (confirm them), you emailed me with the confirmation that you had already done.
The hotel – Lila Radmannen, was just perfect, right in the centre of things, next to the Drotting Road which is closed for pedestrians with loads of restaurants. Very comfortable and quaint (I will send you a photo) with a great breakfast.
I will also send you photos of the lovely island we stayed on – a small island all to ourselves.
All in all Sweden is a beautiful place – with forests and water everywhere, a great first world experience, food is almost double in price if you are not too careful, a great adventure for us.
It felt really good to know that we could rely on your excellent service, thank you very much Sherrilyn! You are a star.

Sherrilyn helped us through all our questions. She knew the places we wanted to visit, and even gave her own personal info of these places. It was lovely to have someone responding within a day (sometimes she did within the hour), as so many plans needed to be finalised to ensure the date and bookings would not be lost.
