Itinerary:
Day 1: Barcelona, Spain
Board Norwegian Dawn in Barcelona and settle in as your Mediterranean adventure begins. If time allows before embarkation, explore the city’s colourful neighbourhoods, impressive architecture and lively streets. Return to the ship and sail towards Mallorca.
Day 2: Palma, Mallorca
Wake up in Mallorca with a full day to discover its beautiful island capital. Wander through Palma’s historic streets, visit its impressive Gothic cathedral or find a spot beside the Mediterranean to relax. Enjoy the city’s restaurants and cafés before returning to the ship.
Day 3: Valencia, Spain
Spend the day exploring Valencia, a city where historic streets meet striking modern architecture. Visit the City of Arts and Sciences, wander through the old town or sample authentic paella in the city where the dish originated. There’s plenty to discover before sailing south along Spain’s coast.
Day 4: Motril, Spain
Arrive in Motril on the Costa Tropical, surrounded by mountains and the Mediterranean Sea. Explore the town and nearby coastline or venture inland towards Granada and its famous Alhambra. It’s a great opportunity to experience the history and landscapes of Andalusia.
Day 5: Gibraltar
Discover Gibraltar, where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic and views stretch towards the coast of Africa. Head up the famous Rock of Gibraltar, look out for its resident Barbary macaques or explore the streets and shops below. Return to Norwegian Dawn and continue towards Spain’s Atlantic coast.
Day 6: Seville (Cádiz), Spain
Step ashore in Cádiz, one of Europe’s oldest cities, with narrow streets, lively plazas and a beautiful waterfront to explore. Stay locally to discover the city’s historic centre or travel inland towards Seville for grand architecture, tapas and Andalusian culture. Spend the day soaking up southern Spain before continuing towards Portugal.
Day 7: Portimão, Portugal
Discover Portugal’s Algarve coast, known for golden cliffs, sandy beaches and clear Atlantic waters. Explore Portimão, relax along the coast or take to the water to discover the region’s striking caves and rock formations. Return to the ship for your final evening onboard.
Day 8: Lisbon, Portugal
Arrive in Lisbon in the morning as your 7-night cruise comes to an end. After breakfast, disembark Norwegian Dawn and begin your onward journey, or extend your stay to discover Lisbon’s colourful neighbourhoods, historic streets and famous yellow trams.
