Hi Laura Here is a short review of the holiday you arranged for the Curran family. The task we set you was very difficult, a holiday in South Africa for a family of 16 ranging in age from 17 months to 70. Then some extra time for the grandparents! You understood the requirements and gave us a great itinerary. I think the balance of Bakubung bush lodge park and Sun City was perfect. The little ones really enjoyed the pool at Bakubung and the animals that were in the garden every morning. The monkeys by the pool provided plenty of entertainment. The older kids and parents loved the twice daily safaris. There was plenty of choice for food at Bakubung and the service was great. All our transfers went smoothly and the drivers were always there waiting for us. The rooms at The Palace of the Lost City were fabulous and we had plenty of room. We spent most of the afternoons by the pool and loved it. The breakfast was amazing, highlight for everyone. The inclusion of the wave park in the hotel stay was such a bonus. Big kids loved it. We were sad to say goodbye to the kids and wished we were going home with them. We were thinking we’d just rest at The Four Seasons and then catch the train but we really enjoyed our time in Johannesburg. It’s a very fascinating city. The hotel organised a tour of Soweto for us. The guide was a Soweto resident and was knowledgeable. Our Rovos rail trip was a once in a lifetime experience. We had no idea what to expect and cannot fully describe why it was so enjoyable. The golf courses were varied and each experience was unique. We were welcomed at each club and the guys managing the golf for Rovos did a great job. The meals on the train were delicious, the chef did an incredible job to produce such fine dining from that kitchen. We had some delicious South African dishes and South African wines. Thank you for all your suggestions and organisation, I think it would not have been anywhere near the experience without your help.

Tenacious - dealing with Botswana parks and tourism is not easy, and a few other providers I tried gave up, but Laura stuck to it and got it done !

Good day, This is a review in respect of services rendered by Laura Klapwijk from Travel Counselors. I met Laura in 2019 when she helped me plan a trip with my Mother to the Netherlands to see the tulips. Everything was in place and then Covid happened. In the end we canceled our trip. In the beginning of 2025 when we started planning a trip to Mauritius with friends, it was a no brainer, I turned to Laura as I have got to know her as an excellent tour counselor. It was an exciting time as it was to celebrate our 30th Anniversary. Laura is meticulous and in the detail of putting the best tour together. What I love about Laura is her enthusiasm, it is as if she is planning her own special holiday. She is always available and promptly answers any questions one may have. Our vacation was booked in February for September. In August we met to get the documentation. We had a lovely meeting where Laura gave me some helpful tips for the upcoming trip as well as parking of our vehicle at the airport. She then had to go to Australia but even with the time difference, she assisted us with checking in with the flight. We had an amazing holiday at Veranda Paul et Virginie in Mauritius. On our way back, unfortunately my husband contracted an eye infection and FlySafair refused him to board the plane. It was a great relief for me in those stressful moments, that I knew I could reach out to Laura and ask for help. She assisted all the way from Australia and even got up early to check in on behalf of my husband when he was able to fly back home again. From start to finish planning your special vacation, Laura is the one you want by your side, especially when things don't go smoothly as planned!
