Experience the energy and charm of Hanoi, cruise through the dramatic landscapes of Lan Ha Bay, uncover the imperial history of Hue and enjoy the relaxed beauty of Hoi An. Along the way, you’ll meet local people, taste authentic Vietnamese cuisine, explore the countryside and discover the fascinating history of Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 1 – 2: Arrive in and Explore Hanoi
Arrive in Hanoi, where you’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Settle in and enjoy your first impressions of Vietnam’s lively capital.
The following morning, discover Hanoi by vintage Vespa with a local guide. Travel through backstreets, alleys and local markets, stopping at a hidden gem café to enjoy authentic Vietnamese food and drinks. You’ll also pass some of the city’s most famous landmarks, including Hoan Kiem Lake, West Lake, Long Bien Bridge, the Temple of Literature, Tran Quoc Temple, the French Quarter, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Hanoi Train Street.
The afternoon is free to explore independently.
Day 3 - 4: Lan Ha Bay Cruise and Journey to Hue
Travel from Hanoi to Tuan Chau Marina and board the Bhaya Soul Cruise for an overnight journey through the spectacular landscapes of Lan Ha Bay. Enjoy a welcome drink and fine dining on board before kayaking through the emerald waters of Ho Ba Ham and discovering its hidden lakes.
Relax with a herbal foot ritual or wellness treatment, take a dip in the heated pool or enjoy the views from the deck. In the evening, join happy hour, try meditation under the stars or go squid fishing.
The next morning, take part in mindful walking meditation at Tien Ong Cave or join a traditional tea ceremony on the sundeck. After disembarking, transfer to Hanoi airport for your flight to Hue. On arrival, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel.
Day 5: Discover Hue by Motorbike
Explore Hue’s laneways, canals and local markets by motorbike with an experienced guide and driver. Visit a royal tomb, pagoda and traditional handicraft workshops before discovering Hue’s Citadel and the Forbidden Purple City.
Learn about Vietnam’s imperial history and enjoy a traditional Buddhist banquet lunch served at a pagoda. A private air-conditioned vehicle is available as an alternative to travelling by motorbike.
Days 6 - 8: Hoi An and the Countryside
Travel from Hue to Hoi An, crossing the spectacular Hai Van Pass. Stop at Marble Mountain and My Khe Beach before continuing to your hotel, Namia River Retreat.
Enjoy a free day to explore Hoi An’s atmospheric Ancient Town, browse its markets, discover its historic architecture or have something made by one of the town’s famous tailors. You can also relax at the resort or visit a nearby beach.
On Day 8, venture into the countryside by Jeep. Visit a local farm, learn about rice and vegetable cultivation, and discover traditional crafts such as weaving, rice-wine making and woodcarving. Enjoy a home-cooked lunch with a local family before returning to Hoi An.
Days 9 - 11: Ho Chi Minh City and the Cu Chi Tunnels
Fly from Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh City and transfer to your hotel. In the evening, experience the city’s vibrant food scene from the back of a motorbike. With a local English-speaking guide, travel through different districts and stop at five food vendors to sample a variety of Vietnamese dishes.
The following day, visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, an extensive underground network used during the Vietnam War. Discover the tunnels, underground kitchens, ingenious traps and wartime history before enjoying a free afternoon in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 11: Depart Ho Chi Minh City
Enjoy your final morning in Vietnam before checking out.
