Beachcomber Holiday

A Mauritius Family Escape

Alex Vorster on 26 Sept 2026

Two beautiful resorts, one unforgettable island holiday. There is something very special about helping a family put together a holiday they can truly look forward to, and this recent Mauritius escape was a lovely example. My clients travelled from Cape Town to Mauritius for ten nights of sunshine, beautiful beaches and quality family time. Rather than staying at just one resort for the entire holiday, we created a two-centre Mauritius experience: five nights at Victoria Beachcomber Resort & Spa followed by five nights at Shandrani Beachcomber, both on an All Inclusive basis.

First stop: Victoria Beachcomber Resort & Spa

The holiday began with five nights at Victoria Beachcomber Resort & Spa in a Superior Room on an All Inclusive basis. It is a wonderful choice for families looking for a relaxed island holiday, with a beautiful beachfront setting and plenty of space to simply slow down and enjoy Mauritius.

Having everything arranged on an All Inclusive basis also meant the family could settle in and enjoy their holiday without constantly having to think about additional meal and drink costs.

Family adventures on the water.

Island time together by the beach.

A change of scenery

After five nights, a transfer was arranged directly from Victoria Beachcomber to their second resort, making the move between the two properties easy and seamless. This is one of the things I love about combining resorts in Mauritius - you do not necessarily have to choose between two favourites when you can experience both.

Relaxed island moments and time together at the resort.

Next stop: Shandrani Beachcomber

For the second half of the holiday, the family spent another five nights at Shandrani Beachcomber, staying in a Tropical Room on the upper floor and again enjoying an All Inclusive stay.

Changing resorts brought a fresh setting, new surroundings and new experiences to discover, while still keeping all the convenience of a Beachcomber holiday. It is a lovely way to make a longer Mauritius holiday feel like two holidays in one.

Slow, sunny days made for switching off.

Pool time - always a family favourite.

Making the journey easy

The holiday included transfers from Mauritius airport to the first resort, between the two Beachcomber properties, and back to the airport at the end of the stay. After ten nights in Mauritius, they flew home to Cape Town with South African Airways.

For me, holidays like this are exactly why I love what I do. It is not simply about booking flights and a hotel - it is about putting together the different pieces so that the journey flows naturally and the family can concentrate on enjoying their time together.

Dreaming of a Mauritius family holiday?

Whether you would prefer one resort or would love to combine two different parts of the island, I would be delighted to help you create something that suits your family.
