I am Taryn Donald (yes, like the duck) and I am a Travel Counsellor based in Randburg, helping South Africans turn holiday dreams into real, bookable plans. Thanks to the strong support and systems behind me, I can look after clients wherever they are based, from around the corner to across the country.

I am a proud mom to a wonderful daughter and a lively mix of four furry “colleagues” (both dogs and cats) who keep life interesting. Before becoming a Travel Counsellor in 2026, I cut my teeth organising events and exhibitions during school holidays and in my first full-time role, which taught me to sweat the details and stay calm under pressure. Like so many of us, I am a sucker for a beautiful tropical sunset and I have been lucky enough to chase quite a few around the world.

My love affair with travel began in 2009 and, over the past 17 years, I have worked in a variety of sales and support roles. Helping people broaden their horizons has always been at the heart of what I do, so you can feel confident that your trip is in experienced, caring hands. What I enjoy most now is the freedom to tailor my service around each individual: your pace, your preferences, your budget and your non-negotiables.

Travel is personal for me. I have visited Mauritius three times, including two work-related educational trips and a special birthday celebration for my sister, which means I know the island’s character, resorts and little secrets first-hand. Thailand and the USA are part of my “many moons ago” chapter, with unforgettable memories of New York City, Washington DC and a birthday escape to Thailand that still calls me back.

Closer to home, local truly is lekker. I have explored South Africa from Cape Town and Durban to the Kruger National Park, and I have flown solo to London to visit family friends, ticking off iconic experiences like Westminster Abbey, Madame Tussauds, the London Dungeon and Stonehenge. A real career highlight was an educational trip to Victoria Falls, where I felt the thunder of the falls, spotted wildlife along the Zambezi and even braved the zipline over the gorge.
