Itinerary:
Day 1: Welcome to Ljubljana
Meet your leader and fellow families at a 4 pm welcome meeting. Join an orientation walk, taking in the central market, Dragon Bridge and Metelkova’s street art. Afterwards, perhaps head out for dinner together at your own expense.
Day 2: Lake Bled, Kranjska Gora and Bovec
Travel to Lake Bled for free time, perhaps tasting its famous cream cake or visiting the castle independently. Continue to Kranjska Gora for a scenic cycling adventure, with lunch included. Finish in Bovec, your base for three nights.
Day 3: Rafting on the Soča River
Take to the emerald waters of the Soča River for an included white-water rafting adventure. Enjoy mountain views as you navigate the rapids together. The afternoon is free for relaxing or exploring independently.
Day 4: Bovec Your Way
Today is yours to spend as a family. Optional adventures include ziplining or canyoning at an additional cost, or you might explore the valley’s walking trails. Your leader can suggest somewhere for dinner this evening.
Day 5: Tolmin Gorges to Portorož
Join a local guide for a hike through the Tolmin Gorges in Triglav National Park. Follow the paths beside clear water while learning about the landscape’s natural history. Continue to Portorož on the Adriatic coast for two nights.
Day 6: A Day on the Coast
Enjoy a free day exploring Portorož and its surroundings. Walk to the beach, relax by the hotel pool or arrange optional sea kayaking at an additional cost. Perhaps gather with the other families for a final dinner at your own expense.
Day 7: Return to Ljubljana
After breakfast, transfer back to Ljubljana. The trip ends at Ljubljana Bus Station, with arrival expected by midday.
