I recall my first international destination: Mauritius! At the time I was a junior travel consultant in Bloem and I was amazed at the clear blue water, exotic foods and vibrant atmosphere. This experience made me realise that there is so much to explore all around us, whether it’s a weekend retreat to Clarens or a once-in-lifetime cruise to explore the Caribbean coast that Hemingway wrote about.

One of the benefits of living in the Central Region is that destinations are all around you to explore and we all need a breakaway. At the end of a working year I sit down with my family to count our favourite memories of the past year and these are my most cherished possessions!

I’ve spent my whole professional career of 17 years in the travel industry, working as junior, intermediate and later as a senior international consultant for national travel management companies. Working with people, I treasure the fantastic holiday stories and photos that they return with! It’s such a joy to briefly share this highlight with them, and to play a part, researching the destinations to help make their dream holiday a reality.

My training and qualifications include: BA (Communications) (UFS), Galileo, Focal Point, Ticket & Fares, Cruises International and I have lectured at the University of the Free State in Travel and Tourism. I’d like to avail my knowledge and expertise to arrange your travel requirements.
