Port St Francis

The Coastline That Called Us

Summer Days in St Francis Bay From the 13th to the 15th of December, we found ourselves soaking up the sunshine in the beautiful little coastal town of St Francis Bay — and what a dreamy two days it was. St Francis truly has a charm of its own. With its whitewashed houses, peaceful canals, soft sandy beaches and salty ocean air, it feels like the kind of place where time slows down and summer lasts forever. It’s small, scenic and incredibly special — the perfect escape from the everyday rush.

13 December – Arrival

We arrived quite late on the 13th, so we didn’t explore much that evening. Instead, we settled in, breathed in the fresh sea air, and let the excitement for the next day build. Sometimes just arriving at the coast, hearing the waves in the distance and feeling that holiday energy is more than enough.

14 December – A Jam-Packed Summer Day

The 14th of December was filled with sunshine and adventure from start to finish.

We started our morning early at the main beach, spending the entire morning there. The sand was warm, the water refreshing, and the atmosphere relaxed yet vibrant. Watching surfers catch waves and families enjoying the ocean reminded us why beach days are simply unbeatable in summer.

After a blissful morning by the sea, we visited the local Sunday Market located near the SPAR and the surrounding little restaurants. The market had such a lovely, laid-back vibe — local crafts, tasty treats, and friendly faces everywhere you turned. It’s the perfect spot to wander, browse and soak up the community spirit.

For lunch, we kept it classic: calamari, chips and onion rings. Honestly, it’s a must-do when you’re on vacation near the beach. Fresh seafood, a squeeze of lemon, crispy chips and ocean air — it doesn’t get better than that.

Later that evening, we headed to Peri-Peri for a late dinner. The food was absolutely amazing, and the views were even better. Watching the sun set over the small harbour while enjoying a delicious meal made it one of those unforgettable holiday moments. This is definitely a must-do when visiting St Francis Bay.

After dinner, we took a scenic drive to the iconic Seal Point Lighthouse. There’s something magical about ending the day near a lighthouse, with the sky slowly darkening and the sound of the ocean all around you. It felt peaceful, romantic and perfectly summery.
