VARU by ATMOSPHERE

Covid-19 Assurance

Should you test positive in resort, you can take your quarantine period in a villa in a separate wing of the resort*, enjoying the outdoor space of your private veranda and/or private pool. You’ll still avail of the resort’s superb all-inclusive offering which will be brought direct to your room.

According to The Telegraph, the newest and most exclusive of Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts’ Malé atoll offering, VARU by Atmosphere, is “smart yet down to earth and social in equal measures – with everything you want a flick of a beach towel away”.

Villas – set either beachfront or overwater - have the option of their own 10m² private plunge pool. All have the same understated yet contemporary character, with earthy tones, splashes of Maldivian print, vaulted ceilings and huge floor-to-ceiling glass doors that bathe the rooms in natural light and give sensational ocean views.

Families have dedicated two-bedroomed beach villas which can accommodate up to four children. For a relatively intimate resort, there’s a lot going on with five restaurants (including KAAGÉ, a Maldivian fine-dining restaurant), dive centre, kids' club and the Elena Spa offering treatments in their overwater suites. There’s a vast range of activities to entertain; learn palm leaf origami or the art of local drumming, whilst non-motorised watersports are included.

*If you are required to quarantine in a separate room there will be an additionally concessionary rate per night.

All-inclusive inclusions which require guests to leave their room will not be included.

Singapore through the seasons: why there’s always something to celebrate

13 August 2026

Singapore may be compact, but its calendar is packed with celebrations that can transform an already memorable city break into something even more special. Throughout the year, its neighbourhoods are illuminated by festival lights, the Marina Bay skyline becomes the backdrop for fireworks and motor racing, and streets fill with parades, markets, music, and food. Many events reflect Singapore’s multicultural identity, giving visitors the chance to experience Chinese, Malay, Indian, and international traditions within the same city. You don’t necessarily need to plan your entire holiday around one event, either. Time your visit well, and Singapore’s annual celebrations can add colour, flavour, and a real sense of occasion to the attractions, restaurants, and neighbourhoods already on your itinerary.
