From sizzling barbecued meats to cheesy breads, walnut-filled aubergines and hearty stews, every meal here is a celebration of flavour and culture.

But it’s not just about what’s on your plate. This journey will take you through some of the most beautiful landscapes in the region – from misty valleys and snow-capped mountains to charming villages steeped in tradition. Along this trip, there will be many memorable experiences, you’ll join locals in their kitchens, learning to prepare iconic dishes through hands-on cooking classes that bring Georgia’s warm hospitality to life.


Day 1 - 2: Tbilisi

Welcome to Tbilisi, Georgia's lively capital! Wander through the cobblestone streets of the Old Town, where colourful balconies and historic churches tell stories of the past. Don't miss the panoramic views from the Narikala Fortress. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Georgian dinner with dishes like chkmeruli (garlic chicken) and chashushuli (veal stew).

Day 3: Wine and Warmth in Telavi

Head to Telavi in the Kakheti region, known for its wine and hospitality. Visit the 16th-century Gremi complex and then join a local family for lunch. Learn to make mtsvadi (grilled meat) and try your hand at crafting churchkhela, a sweet treat made from nuts and grape juice. Later, explore a traditional wine cellar and taste wines made using ancient methods.

Day 4: Flavours of the Pankisi Valley

Start your day at the bustling Telavi market, then visit a local cheesemaker to sample some delicious varieties. Travel to the Pankisi Valley, home to the Kist community. Here, you'll learn to cook zhizhig galnash, a hearty dish of handmade noodles with lamb. Spend the night in a cosy guesthouse surrounded by mountains.

Day 5: From Valleys to Peaks

Explore the Pankisi Valley's villages, visiting sites like Saint George’s Church and the Duisi Old Mosque. Enjoy chaabilgish, a pumpkin-filled bread, for lunch. On your way to Gudauri, stop at the Ananuri Fortress, perched on the Aragvi River. The scenic drive offers plenty of photo opportunities.

 

Day 6: Majestic Mountains of Stepantsminda

Travel to Stepantsminda and hike up to the Gergeti Trinity Church, set against the backdrop of Mount Kazbek. The views are truly unforgettable. Later, visit a local family in Gudauri to learn how to make khinkali, Georgia's famous dumplings. Return to Gudauri for a relaxing evening.

Day 7 - 8: Back to Tbilisi

On your way back to Tbilisi, stop in Mtskheta, one of Georgia's oldest cities. Explore the Jvari Monastery and the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, both rich in history. Once in Tbilisi, unwind with a soak in the city's famous sulfur baths or stroll along the river. In the evening, gather for a farewell dinner, celebrating the memories made on this journey.
