A Special Wedding Anniversary Weekend at Van Zylsvlei Karoo Guesthouse

Situated in the perfect position, just off the N1 near Colesberg, Van Zylsvlei is the perfect stopover for anyone travelling through the Karoo. What really made our stay memorable and extra special were the wonderful hosts, Deon and Annelie, who went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. They even moved us from a standard double room to a family room, giving us extra space and self-catering facilities. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and showed just how attentive they are to their guests.

Another lovely surprise was the option of dinner at the guesthouse. It's not often you find accommodation offering a delicious home cooked dinner (Annelie cooks all the meals, even if it's only 1 person in the restaurant), and when roast Karoo lamb with all the trimmings is on the menu, who could possibly say no!

With its warm hospitality, convenient location, and that special Karoo charm, Van Zylsvlei made our anniversary weekend even more memorable. Sometimes its the unexpected little touches that turn a simple overnight stop into a place you remember long after you have left.
