All Inclusive Luxury in Mauritius

Ever wished you could go on holiday and leave your purse behind? Well, thanks to Beachcomber’s Shandrani, you can...well almost...you might need some Rupees to buy that "must have" island shirt. The Shandrani Hotel is a five-star fully inclusive resort on the South Coast of Mauritius. The tariff includes all food, drinks, most sports and entertainment and the previously considered extras. The Shandrani has varied the atmosphere and style of its five restaurants. Menus list a delicious mix of French, Italian, Thai and Creole flavours. All in wonderful setting thought out the property. I tried 3 different restaurants, and wow, all the food was fantastic. Quality food prepared by friendly staff. My favourite though, has to be the diversity of the beaches. On the one side, there is a wonderful calm beach, but just around the corner, is a "wild" beach, where waves crash into the shore. So, depending on your mood, there is a beach for you. As I was in Mauritius for our Annual Travel Counsellors conference, I got to experience the Conferencing facilities first hand. This is a great resort for conferences. The conference room is set in the middle of the resort, near reception and close to the main facilities, such as dining area, pool, beach and bar. Even though you are in conference, at tea time, you can run and put your toes in the beautiful Indian Ocean. This is a real treat - a wonderful conference setting which feels like more of a reward, than a conference! The rooms are set throughout the resort, all sea facing. As the resort is large, you will often see little golf carts readily available to pick you up and transport you to your ideal place. However, as the food is so great, the walk to your room is openly embraced, and helps take the guilt away from over indulging in desserts. The Spa is beautifully set in the gardens. Water and greenery all around you to relax and enhance your experience. Professional therapists specialize in a series of spa treatments using local ingredients in the massage oils and the products of the renowned French manufacturer, Clarins. This hotel is a quick 10 minute transfer from the airport and the closest shopping is only 12kms away in Mahebourg. Mauritius - there is something for everybody!
