My interest and passion for the travel industry started in 1987 when I returned from a year’s backpacking in Europe.

I attended Rapid Results and I completed my diploma in 1987 and I started work at Triumph Travel in Sea Point that same year.

After 2 years I decided to travel once again and this time I worked and travelled in Europe and in the UK until the end of 1990.

I returned and started work at Hylton Ross Travel in Camps Bay. I was in the Camps Bay and then in the Waterfront travel offices over a period of 6 years during which time I successfully completed my IATA UFTAA Standard and Advanced certification. I was then given the opportunity to manage the Overseas Visitors Club hostels and travel offices in London, which was also owned by Mr and Mrs Ross.

I was in London for 4 years and I returned back to Cape Town in 2000. Since then I have been at Hylton Ross Travel in Camps Bay. I have recently started my own travel business and I am backed by the world’s largest home-working company who operate in 6 countries around the world.

Over the years I have been lucky enough to experience swimming in the Dead Sea, climbing Masada to watch the sunrise in Israel, backpacking through Europe by Eurail and ferry trips around the Greek Islands. Take a helicopter trip over the Grand Canyon, visit San Diego, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Take a tour from New York down the east coast to Disney in Orlando. Visit Lochness in Scotland, climb Ben Nevis and take the very scenic train trip from Fort William to Oban and ferry to the Isle of Mull. These are just some of my highlights; I have also visited Mauritius, Hong Kong and Ireland.
