Botlierskop Private Game Reserve

We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, especially the game drive, where we had close encounters with a mama cheetah & her 3 cubs! Not to mention, elephant, giraffe, rhino, buffalo, various species of buck, including the rare black impala! All the staff at The Village Lodge were so friendly, accommodating and made our stay even more special.

The food was delicious! The Chef really knows their stuff and it was inspiring to see the home grown produce from the vibrant herb and veg garden utilized in their dishes. This is the way forward, not only for holiday accommodation and restaurants, but for homeowners too.

The Village Lodge caters for families and children, as well as couples. They offer a fenced in pool, playground, and a fun-looking Kids Program, including horse rides - an absolute highlight for my daughter! It was a great seeing the different accommodation types at both the Tented Camp (more luxurious, perfect for honeymooners and couples, however, they do cater for families too) and The Village Lodge. The Botlierskop portfolio caters for all types of travelers and budgets.

For those that need to relax and unwind; The Fijnbos Spa, located at the Tented Camp, but accessible for all the lodges, offers a wide array of spa treatments, an indoor pool and sauna.

At the Tented Camp, the animals roam freely - so you can see them from your room, or the lounge/ dining area. You can also see the animals from certain rooms at the Village Lodge. When you stay at Botlierskop you are fully immersed in the Safari experience. Botlierskop offers a true Safari Experience which is safe, as well as malaria-free.

Located in the central Garden Route, they are 45 minutes from George Airport, or a 4-hour drive from Cape Town. It is easily accessible for clients wanting a Beach and Bush vacation as Mosselbay is 20-minutes’ drive away and Knysna is a 1.5 hours’ drive from Botlierskop.
