Moments to remember with Disney

Hey, we are the Preece family, Sophie, Tom, Oscar and our dog Buddy. We have loved all things Disney for as long as we can remember which has led us to holidaying in Disney world, Florida and creating some of our most special memories there.

Moments to remember with Disney

Tom first visited Disney world as a child, so when we met at high school as young teenagers it was a holiday destination where we both dreamt of going together. This trip was in 2011 when we turned 21. We fell in love with Disney and it was always in our plans to get back there again one day.

Fast forward to May 2016, 10 years together and our 2nd Disney trip. Tom gets down on one knee and proposes in front of Cinderella’s castle (every girl's dream right?!) what a place to spend such a special occasion as the cast members, who work at Disney, make such a fuss of you to enhance your celebration.

Two years later, there's only one place we want to spend our honeymoon, you guessed it, Disney world!

Thinking we were already on top of the world as newlyweds, in our favourite place on earth, we find out we are pregnant with our first baby! Introducing Oscar, our little Disney loving boy, of course! It's 2022, he’s now 3 years old, where better to take him than, Disney world! And what a trip it was, to then see the magic through your child’s eyes, is a memory that we will cherish forever.

So, why do we keep going back?

You'll never have the same holiday twice. From visiting the parks, water parks, resorts, restaurants, shows, there's so much to see and do. There’s always something new, on our last trip we missed a new attraction opening by a couple of days! Looks like we will have to go back to experience that!

Our last 3 trips have all been booked by our Travel Counsellor. They always go above and beyond when providing her service and makes booking our holidays so stress free. They sort everything for us, flights, accommodation and park tickets. It’s always reassuring to know someone’s on the end of the phone, should you need them.

Our top tips to make the most of your experience:

  • Plan ahead. It is always good to have some sort of plan/itinerary to know what you will be doing each day. For example, what park you will be visiting.
  • Pre book restaurants. Some dining experiences require reservations that can be booked 60 days in advance.
  • Rest days. Always allow for down time. You’re never going to do it all, It is a holiday, it would be a shame not to make use of those lovely pools and resorts
  • Go whatever your age! Whether you’re thinking of taking your young children or older parents, there really is something for everybody to enjoy!

Hope you have enjoyed our Disney story!
