Meet Saga’s new ship, Amadeus Elegant

Having launched 21st September 2022, Amadeus Elegant is the newest ship to join the Saga Cruises fleet. Carrying 150 passengers across 76 cabins, the ship offers an intimate experience for passengers looking to explore the towns and cities in lesser-known places along the Saar and Moselle rivers.

As the name suggests, Amadeus Elegant is a stylish and elegant ship, offering everything you need to enjoy an unforgettable river cruise. With comfortable public rooms and delivering first-class service from the moment you step aboard, she begins a new season of Saga itineraries in May 2023.

By booking early, you can also save up to 25% off standard prices.

Amadeus Elegant’s smaller size means she can reach ports larger ships can’t. Following her inaugural cruise up the Danube from Budapest, she’ll explore the stunning scenery along the Moselle and Saar. These two rivers wind their way from France into Germany, and feature steep-sided valleys dotted with castles, pretty towns and vineyards, which you can admire from the deck.

The ship has four decks, including a spacious outside Sun Deck at the top of the ship, which is the perfect place to relax and take in the passing scenery as you gently cruise to the next destination. There are plenty of loungers and shaded areas, and a Lido bar to enjoy your all-inclusive drinks. The three other passenger decks are named after famous Austrian composers – Haydn, Mozart, and Strauss – and can be accessed by a small lift. It’s easy to find your way around the ship, which also includes a restaurant, two lounges, a fitness and wellness area and a small shop.

The ship’s stylish club lounge is the perfect place to socialise or simply sit back and enjoy the views. The Amadeus Club has its own coffee-making facilities, plenty of places to sit, and a complimentary internet station where you can keep in touch with friends and family back home. complimentary Wi-Fi is also available so you can use your own phone or tablet around the ship.

At mealtimes you can look forward to buffet breakfasts with plenty of choices, fresh and light lunches, and fine, waiter served four-course dinners throughout your cruise. A selection of wine, beer and soft drinks is included to accompany your lunch and evening meal, while inclusive drinks are served in the bar 15 hours a day.
