Europe has fascinated travellers for generations, as it’s home to everything from intriguing historical sites and bustling cities to golden beaches and scenic natural attractions. See Europe through new eyes on soon-to-launch Celebrity Edge, a state-of-the-art ship which will change the way we cruise!
Celebrity provides first class luxury and stylish rooms, while taking you to exotic destinations ranging from the Caribbean to the South Pacific. Celebrity plan to surpass themselves in Autumn 2018 when they introduce the Celebrity Edge; a revolutionary vessel which established a new standard for luxury and innovation in cruising. Celebrity took advantage of cutting edge 3-D technology to create a one-of-a-kind cruising experience on the Edge. It includes opulent on-ship villas, an expansive entertainment area and a cantilevered, floating platform – a world first for a cruise ship – providing a truly distinct experience.
Expect spectacular accommodation on the Celebrity Edge, designed by experts to provide you with a comfortable, yet stylish space. Opt for an Edge Stateroom and turn your entire space into a balcony at the touch of a button with the ‘Infinite Balcony’ feature. There are 174 connecting staterooms on the Edge, so you can create the space you want. The ship’s 1,880-sq. ft. Iconic Suites have two chic bedrooms and provide panoramic views, as they’re situated on top of the Edge, or stay in a two-storey Edge Villa, which houses up to four guests and comes with a 3-ft deep plunge pool.
Head to ‘Eden’ on the Celebrity Edge and find a multi-floored garden of delights for you to discover. Spread across three floors, the unique Eden provides a multitude of sensory experiences in a space where design, performance art and nature meet to provide you with a peaceful haven where you can relax. View exotic horticultural species in its Library of Plants, sample divine coffees in the Eden Café, experience fine dining in the Eden Restaurant, or enjoy expansive sea views in this glass-enclosed space.
Take the ride of your life on the Celebrity Edge’s ‘Magic Carpet’. The planet’s first cantilevered platform, this unique feature allows you to travel up to heights of 13 storeys above sea level in a sophisticated space which is the size of a tennis court. As you ride the magic carpet go down to Deck 2, where you can relax in a chilled space before heading onshore to explore your destination, or rise to the top deck, where you can enjoy the unique ‘Dinner on the Edge’ events high in the sky.
Find plenty of ways to keep yourself busy by visiting Deck 14. This is the Celebrity Edge’s popular Resort Deck; an expansive entertainment area featuring the ship’s main pool, a jogging track, an adults only solarium and more. Check out the Rooftop Garden – an urban playground for adults, where you can catch movie screenings at ‘A Taste of Film’ or dine on grilled dishes at the Rooftop Garden Grill, which hosts regular live music sets. Relax in a two-storey martini glass hot tub on its Pool Deck, or chill in the 23-metre lap pool while sipping a tantalising cocktail at its Pool Bar.
When you’re not savouring the Celebrity Edge’s cutting-edge luxury, you can use the ship as your base to explore Europe. During 2019, the Celebrity Edge will sail exclusively in Europe, providing you with a range of seven, nine, ten and eleven night getaways to some of the continent’s most intriguing places. Travel out from Rome, famous for housing ancient architectural marvels like the Colosseum or Barcelona, a chic Spanish city renowned for its Gaudi architecture, on many Celebrity Edge European cruises. For convenience, you can also sail out from Southampton on various trips.
Europe is your oyster when you’re travelling on the Celebrity Edge. On the upcoming Iberian Peninsula cruise, for instance, stop at the iconic Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, stroll down the cobbled alleys of Lisbon or meet Europe’s only wild monkeys at Gibraltar. In 2019 the Celebrity Edge will add two new ports of call. These are Greece’s Argolis Peninsula, where you can tour impressive Mycenaean ruins and Santa Margherita, a seaside town famous for its classical architecture and idyllic promenade in the Italian Riviera.
