Itinerary: 

Day 1: Delhi

Arrive in Delhi at any time, with arrival transfers arranged by Women With Wheels, a G Adventures–supported programme empowering local women.

Day 2: Delhi to Agra

The day begins with an exploration of India’s capital, from the British-built avenues of New Delhi to the historical lanes of Old Delhi. The lively Paharganj district is introduced by a youth guide from a supported city walk project, followed by visits to Jama Masjid and Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib. In the afternoon, travel continues to Agra.

Day 3: Agra

Agra’s history as a seat of the Mughal Empire is evident in the architecture. The day features visits to the Taj Mahal, the intricate ‘Baby Taj’, and the impressive Red Fort. Each site offers unique insights into the region’s heritage.

Day 4: Agra to Jaipur

Departure from Agra followed by travel to Jaipur, Rajasthan’s capital. The city’s broad avenues and striking architecture are on display upon arrival.

Day 5: Jaipur

Highlights of the day include the Amber Fort and the iconic Hawa Mahal with its honeycomb façade. A meeting with a local historian provides in-depth perspectives on local customs and the region’s social fabric. In the evening, attending a Bollywood film is an available option for cultural immersion.

Day 6: Jaipur to Pachewar

A drive to the rural village of Pachewar leads to accommodation in a heritage home where you can stay in an authentic and historic palace. Walking among potters and artisans gives insight into traditional village life. Observations reveal how modern influences blend with centuries-old traditions in this community.

Day 7: Pachewar to Delhi

A return journey takes travellers back to Delhi. A farewell dinner may be arranged for the final evening, offering a chance to reflect on the trip.

Day 8: Delhi

The tour concludes today, with departures scheduled at individual convenience.
