Day 1: Barcelona, Spain

Your voyage begins in Barcelona, the spirited capital of Catalonia, a city with a palpable sense of history. You can lose yourself in the medieval streets of the Barri Gòtic before marvelling at Gaudí's otherworldly La Sagrada Família. This captivating city serves as the perfect starting point for your grand sea voyage, blending urban excitement with the allure of the Mediterranean.

Day 2: Provence (Marseille), France

Today you arrive in Marseille, the oldest city in France, situated on the beautiful Mediterranean coast. Among the many terracotta-roofed buildings, you will find intriguing sights, including the magnificent Cathedral of Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde. Other worthwhile places to visit include the historic city of Avignon and the quaint villages of Les Baux-de-Provence and Aix-en-Provence.

Day 3: Nice/Monaco (Villefranche), France

From the port of Villefranche, you can experience the enchanting allure of the French Riviera. Stroll along the Old Harbour for majestic views of the Mediterranean, or discover the incredible artworks housed within Saint Michael's Church. For a change of scenery, you can trek up to the 16th-century Fort du Mont Alban, which offers superb views overlooking the city.

Day 4: Florence/Pisa (Livorno), Italy

From Livorno, you have the privilege of visiting the Tuscan region, resplendent in art and history. The main attractions in Florence are centrally located, making it ideal for a perfect walking tour of the city’s highlights. You will have the opportunity to see the famous Basilica di Santa Croce, the magnificent Piazza del Duomo, and of course, Michelangelo's peerless sculpture, David.

Day 5: At Sea

Enjoy a full day at sea to relax and make the most of the superb facilities on board your ship. Perhaps you’ll indulge in a spa treatment, enjoy the fine dining options, or simply find a comfortable chair on deck. This is your day to unwind as you sail towards your next port of call.

Day 6: Messina (Sicily), Italy

The third-largest city on the island of Sicily, Messina, welcomes you with its lovely harbour and extraordinary architecture. Stroll through Messina's Piazza Cairoli, taking in its magnificent fountains and cathedrals. Alternatively, find a spot at a sidewalk café to sip a glass of local Marsala wine and watch the world go by.

Day 7: Salerno, Italy

Discover Salerno, a city with a history as rich as its surrounding landscapes, nestled between mountains and the sea. Located at the southeastern point of the famed Amalfi Coast, Salerno boasts sun-drenched beaches, nature reserves, and historic sites. You can also indulge in the delicious local cuisine for which the region is celebrated.

Day 8: Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy

Your cruise concludes as you disembark in Civitavecchia, the port for Rome, where endless adventures await. With two and a half thousand years of history, it is no wonder Rome is one of the most visited cities on the planet. Gaze at masterpieces in the Vatican, visit ancient relics, or simply people-watch while sipping an espresso in a quaint café before your journey home.
