Formosa Bay Resort

Formosa Bay, located in Plettenberg Bay, home of the Waffling Whale – best whale shaped waffles ever (their breakfast and milkshakes are great too!) It is a family paradise with 2 pools (one is heated), a fun slide into the main pool, 2 games rooms, a small gym, sauna, a putt putt course, multicourt and a giant bounce pillow! What more could you ask for?

Their location allows you to get away from it all, but still be close to the beach, restaurants, shops and activities. The units cater for couples, friend vacays, or family getaways.

We stayed in a lovely 2 bedroom apartment, which included a lounge (limited DSTV channels available), a full and large open plan kitchen, 2 full bathrooms (main room en suite) and an enclosed balcony with braai facilities overlooking the heated pool. There is a small convenience and gift store located within the Reception area for any items you may have forgotten to bring along, or if you would like to take a memento home with you. There is also a Kids club called Max’s Fun Club which offers a daily activity program for the kiddos, plus they have the opportunity to have breakfast with Max the Turtle on Thursdays & Saturday (subject to change).
