Which MarBella Collection Hotel is right for you?
I spent a week staying at MarBella Collection's various hotels in Greece so I could really get to grips with what they each offer and who they are best suited to. Here's what I found...
The MarBella Collection offers four beautiful Greek properties, all with sea views, stylish design and warm hospitality. But each one has its own personality, and choosing the right fit can make all the difference to how your holiday feels.
Here is my honest, first‑hand guide to help you decide which MarBella hotel is right for you.
1. MarBella Elix: For Laid‑Back Luxury & Older Families Who Want To Switch Off
MarBella Elix is perfect if you are dreaming of an escape from everyday life. Set high on a pine‑covered hillside overlooking a gorgeous beach, it feels like a hideaway in its own world.
I would recommend MarBella Elix for:
- Couples who love calm, laid‑back luxury
- Families with older children or teens
- Anyone who is happy for the hotel to be the main focus of the holiday
A key point to know here is that there is virtually nothing on the doorstep: no busy promenade, no cluster of tavernas or shops. This is a hotel for those who do not mind staying within the resort, relaxing by the pool or beach, and simply slowing down.
Older children tend to do particularly well here. They enjoy the sense of independence, the space, and the relaxed pace, without needing constant “organised fun”.
If your ideal holiday is quiet, scenic and unhurried, and you are not bothered about wandering into a town every evening, MarBella Elix is likely to be a very good match.
2. MarBella Corfu: For Families & Multi‑Generational Holidays
MarBella Corfu is the one I reach for when you tell me “we’re all going away together and we need something for everyone”. It is a superb option for families and multi‑generational groups who want comfort, facilities and a livelier atmosphere.
MarBella Corfu works brilliantly for:
- Young families
- Larger or blended families
- Multi‑generational groups travelling with grandparents
- Anyone who likes a resort feel with plenty going on
It has that easy, family‑friendly feel where you do not have to over‑plan every day. Kids can dip in and out of activities, and parents can relax knowing there is always something happening. The addition of the splash park and waterslides in 2025 was the cherry on top of the cake too – just as fun for adults as the kids (tried and tested by me personally!)
And a huge tick in the box for families here is flexible rooms that actually work in real life. The are no less than 21 different room configurations here including 13 that are designed specifically with families in mind.
I have to mention the food too – I was super impressed by the all inclusive offering and there’s plenty of a la carte’s to choose from, and not just for dinner, a la carte breakfast and lunch is available too!
3. Avali MarBella: For Younger Adults & Vibey Grown‑Up Getaways
Avali MarBella is where I tend to send younger couples and adults who want a more energetic, social atmosphere. It is stylish and grown up, with DJ’s, cocktails and a grown up feel.
This hotel is particularly well suited to:
- Younger couples
- Friends travelling together
- Adults who enjoy a lively, sociable environment
Avali MarBella does accept children over the age of six, but I am very open with clients: I do not personally recommend this as a family choice. There are no facilities designed with children in mind, and the overall feeling is very adult‑focused.
If you are looking for peace and quiet or travelling with younger children, I would steer you towards one of the other hotels. If you want a stylish base with a buzz, Avali MarBella is likely to tick a lot of boxes.
4. MarBella Nido: For Older Couples & Refined, All‑Suite Luxury
MarBella Nido is, in my view, the ideal choice for older couples and anyone who appreciates a more classic, refined style of luxury.
I tend to suggest Nido for:
- Older couples
- Those celebrating a special anniversaries or milestone
- Guests who value tranquillity, elegance and personal service
Being an all‑suite hotel, every guest enjoys that extra level of comfort and space. The layout has a real Mediterranean village feel, with suites stepping down the hillside and paths that give the impression of a little hamlet rather than a large resort.
MarBella Nido is strictly adults‑only, which protects the calm atmosphere around the pool, in the bars and at meal times. It is less about buzz, more about unhurried, candlelit dinners, taking your time over a glass of wine and enjoying sea views and peaceful surroundings.
If you imagine your perfect break as slow, elegant and indulgent, with no rush and no noise, Nido is almost certainly the one I will recommend.
So… Which MarBella Hotel Sounds Most Like You?
Here is a quick recap based on how my clients tend to choose:
- Choose MarBella Elix if you want laid‑back luxury in a remote setting, are happy staying mostly within the hotel, and are travelling as a couple or with older children.
- Choose MarBella Corfu if you need a family‑friendly all‑rounder with lots of facilities, entertainment and flexible room options that work especially well for multi‑generational trips.
- Choose Avali MarBella if you are planning an adults‑focused escape, especially as a younger couple or group of friends, and you like a more vibey, social atmosphere.
- Choose MarBella Nido if you are an older couple or grown‑up travellers who prefer an all‑suite, adults‑only hotel with a refined, village‑style charm.
