When is the best time to visit Yosemite Mariposa County

 

The loveliest times to visit Yosemite Mariposa County are April - May and September - October, when the park is accessible but not too crowded. Some of the roads and trails are closed for most of the year due to snow and some of the most famous waterfalls only run at a trickle during the height of summer. The autumn offers the best opportunity for hiking, with cooler temperatures and fewer crowds making for the best trail conditions.
