Discover the wonderful charm of Cuba

03 August 2018

There is much to see and do in Cuba, encompassing historical attractions, wonderfully charming small towns, beautiful natural surrounds, world-class beaches, and - of course - more hedonistic pursuits, such as cigar factory tours, salsa dancing classes, and numerous bars and nightclubs.

Best time to visit Cuba
The best time to visit Cuba is between December and May, when the days are warm, dry and sunny. Between June and November, Cuba can be very hot, humid and wet - although on the plus side, as this is low tourist season, accommodation will be cheaper and tourist attractions will be less crowded.

Recommended length of stay: 10 to 14 nights to enjoy Havana, a beach break and discover many of the beautiful towns and sights across the island

Local currency: Cuban convertible peso (CUC)

Top three experiences

Tour the city by classic car, Havana

Try a photographic safari, Havana
Get to the heart of Cuba on an exhilarating photography safari tour, with opportunities to shoot architecture, colonial villages and lush tropical landscapes. Start with an off the beaten track experience in Havana, explore the Biosphere Reserve of the Sierra del Rosario, and trek through the Valley of Viñales to capture geological formations and tobacco fields.

Explore a World Heritage Site, Trinidad
Founded in 1514, Trinidad is well-known for its charming colonial atmosphere, cobbled streets, and beautiful surrounding countryside. Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1988, the town’s pastel-coloured architecture and horse-drawn carts are a sight that’s not to be missed.
