Itinerary:

Day 1: Welcome to Casablanca

The tour commences with a welcome dinner, providing an opportunity for guests to meet their Travel Director and fellow travellers.

Day 2: Rabat, Imperial Meknes and Fes

The day starts with a viewing of the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca before travelling to Rabat to see the Royal Palace and the Mausoleum of King Mohammed V. The journey continues to the imperial city of Meknes to view the Bab el-Mansour gate. The day concludes in Fes with a traditional dinner in an ancient palace, accompanied by live music.

Day 3: Fes Sightseeing

A Local Expert leads a visit to the non-profit American Fondouk for a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience. The day continues with a tour of the ancient Medina, including a visit to a carpet cooperative and the Medersa El Attarine. Guests will also explore the souks, known for their array of local goods.

Day 4: The Ziz Gorges to Erfoud

The journey heads into the High Atlas Mountains, passing through Ifrane and the cedar forests of Azrou. After lunch in Midelt, the route continues through the Ziz Gorges to Erfoud. In the evening, guests can choose between stargazing in the Sahara or relaxing in a traditional hammam.

Day 5: Desert Town of Rissani

The day is spent exploring the desert town of Rissani, including the Tomb of Moulay Ali Cherif and quarries of ancient marine fossils. A traditional lunch of Madfouna, or ‘Berber Pizza’, is served. The afternoon is at leisure before an optional four-wheel drive excursion to watch the Sahara sunset.

Day 6: Spectacular Ouarzazate

The itinerary proceeds towards the Todra Gorge and includes a stop at a traditional farm for a Farm-to-Table lunch. The route follows the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs through the Dades Valley, with a visit to a Nomad house for Berber tea. The day ends in Ouarzazate, a notable filming location.

Day 7: To Marrakesh

The morning features a visit to the Ksar of Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The journey then continues over the Tizi n’Tichka Pass to the city of Marrakesh. The remainder of the day is free for guests to relax and use the hotel facilities.

Day 8: Marrakesh, Pearl of the South

A Local Expert guides a tour of Marrakesh, beginning with a visit to the Dar El Bacha palace. The tour includes the Medina, the Koutoubia Mosque, and the lively Jemaa el-Fnaa Square. The evening offers an optional dinner with belly dancers at a restaurant in the square.

Day 9: Elegant Essaouira

A day trip takes guests to the coastal fishing town of Essaouira for an orientation and free time to explore the port. The journey then continues to the port city of El Jadida.

Day 10: Return to Casablanca

After returning to Casablanca, guests have the chance to explore the modern side of Morocco. The tour concludes with a special celebration dinner at a recreation of the famous Rick's Cafe from the classic film.

Day 11: Au Revoir Casablanca

The tour concludes after breakfast, with transfers arranged to the airport for onward flights.
