The value that I can provide that the internet cant

Why it is a good idea to use a travel agent

It seems that everyone thinks they can do the work of a travel agent now days even the supermarket tellers. Would you really trust booking an airline ticket at a supermarket or doing it yourself online?

When doing it all yourself would you know what the minimum connecting times are between flights? Or whether you are allowed to transit a country without a visa and for how long? Or if you need a visa for your final destination? Would you know what paperwork you need for a child to travel from South Africa? These are just some of the things I take into account when organising a trip for my clients.

There are so many reasons to make use of a travel agent rather than doing it yourself online but I am going to highlight a few to keep in mind.

I am here to save you time and to remove the hassle for you. With over 20 years of experience; I have travelled to over 39 countries; I’m available 24/7; I’m part of an international company and it is my own business so you only deal with me. I help with visas and travel insurance. Some countries require you to have travel insurance in order to get a visa but I suggest that you never leave the country without travel insurance. I re-confirm my clients’ hotels and do their online check in to make sure that they don’t get bumped off their flights.

Most importantly, if there is a problem I am a phone call away and can sort it out for you.

Travel Counsellors has a financial protection for all our approved suppliers so you are covered against the suppliers or airlines going under. You don’t pay me any money, it all goes to my head office bank account so no risk involved.

Using a travel agent is like a great bottle of wine. You never know all the love and attention that went into the trip – but you will definitely taste it. Thinking of getting away? Why not call me for a chat.
