Hermanus
It is only an hour and a half drive outside from Cape Town and is the perfect location for a short break.
There is water, sea, beach and a fabulous wine route, the Hemel en Aarde I have been coming down to Hermanus for the last 6 years.
There are fabulous restaurants and markets, the accommodation is great. It has the whales and Shark cage diving close by. It is safe and the people are friendly. Visits can walk on or admire the gorgeous mountain, do walks on the beach or through the town, there are bicycle tracks and wonderful markets etc.
Hermanus is very busy and a popular meeting spot when the annual whale festival takes place. Visitors can spot numberous whales in the bay and many of them breaching.
