USA Adventure

With all the hype about the USA Presidential elections, I’ve been reminiscing about my trip to the United States a few years back. I spent 5 amazing weeks visiting family and touring through some incredible cities, these are just a few of the highlights from my trip.

New Years in Times Square New York, the city that never sleeps – this could not be more accurate and especially on New Years Eve! I got to see performances by Charlie Puth & Wiz Khalifa, Carrie Underwood and Luke Bryan all in one night with the final performance of the Ball drop at the stroke of midnight. Braving the cold and celebrating with over 1 million people is something that will be etched in my memory for a very long time.

Cycling in Central Park Whilst this may seem like an ordinary and mundane outing, it was exactly that that made this such a highlight. Feeling like a local on a Sunday morning, soaking up the winter sun and the sights of Central Park. If you have the time, this is a must do in New York.

Washington D.C. The Washington locals will tell you that New Yorkers don’t appreciate sleep, and after a busy 5 days in New York I welcomed the calm of Washington with open arms. It is difficult to pick one highlight in as I loved it all, from visits to the Smithsonian to guided night walks, Arlington Memorial and day trips to Georgetown.

Viva Las Vegas Off to another city that doesn’t sleep – Viva Las Vegas!! Staying on the strip is really a must if you can – convenient walk to all the sites and attractions. The city only really comes alive at night, but when it does – what a show it puts on. From the city lights to fountain displays in front of the Bellagio Hotel, pirate productions at Treasure Island and the vast array of shows to watch – I got to see the Cirque du Soleil production “O” – it was brilliant! You cannot go to Las Vegas without watching at least one show but be sure to book in advance as tickets sell out fast!

Grand Canyon National Park I can honestly say that sitting on the edge of the canyon literally took my breath away, probably because I was terrified of falling, but there is something about the tranquility and vastness of the canyon that leaves you wanting more. We did a day trip to the West Rim with a stop at Hoover Dam, well worth the trip.

So, whether it be a business trip to New York or a grand USA adventure let me help you plan it, I have a vast knowledge and some travel tips to ensure you get the most out of your trip.
