Discover Thailand on a shoestring and visit Chiang Mai and Bangkok. Chiang Mai is home is home to some of the most honoured temples. Spend a day visit to the Elephant Nature Park where you can see them bath and splash in the cool waters.
Day 1: Chiang Mai
Welcome to Thailand.
After finalizing immigration formalities and collecting your luggage, please, walk into the arrival area. Our driver will be waiting for you holding a sign with your name. You will be transferred to your hotel.
Standard check-in time in the hotels in Thailand is 2 pm. Early check-in is a subject of availability.

Day 3: Chiang Mai – Day visit to Elephant Nature Park (B/L)
Your guide will meet you at the hotel at 8 am. After all participants are in the bus, you will drive Elephant Nature Park. The aim of the park is to provide a sanctuary for elephants to live in a peaceful natural environment. Alongside the elephants, there are also plenty of other animals: buffalos, dogs, cats, birds and many other rescued animals.
During your day visit, you will participate in following activities:
Feeding the elephants: Observing the herd – with your guide you will walk around the park, where you will learn about the life of Asian elephants, and personal stories of the gentle giants rescued by the ENP.
Observing elephants bathing – you will walk with your guide and the elephants to the river that borders the park. Watch elephants from the river bank as they splash in cool water.
Observing interactions – after bathing, some elephants might want to head to the mud pit, while others would go to the sand pit, to cover themselves in the sand. You will learn from your guide about different forms of interactions between elephants.
Visit other rescued animals – you will visit ENP dog project and will learn about local dog adoption program. If there is time, they guide will also show you other ENP projects for rescued animals.
Visit Hands Off project – you will visit a new ENP project, where you will be able to observe elephants roaming free from a sky walk. This is a great way not only to see elephants in their natural habitat, but will also allow you to take excellent photos.
Buffet lunch of vegetarian Asian and Western dishes will be served during your visit to the park.
In the late afternoon (around 3:30 pm) it will be the time for goodbyes to the elephants and to Elephant Nature Park before an hour-long drive back to Chiang Mai where you will be dropped off at your accommodation.

Day 4: Overnight train to Bangkok (B)
Morning at leisure.
Standard check out time is 12 pm (midday). You can leave your bags in the hotel storage room until our transfer picks you up.
At 4:15 pm our driver will meet you in the hotel lobby, and you will be transferred to Chiang Mai train station.
Train #10 departs Chiang Mai at 6 pm. Trains in Thailand are very comfortable, with soft seats turned beds in the evening. Bed linen is provided with the tickets. Meals on the train are not included, but you can either buy a takeaway dinner before going to the station, or have a meal in the train’s dining car.

Day 5: Bangkok
Train will arrive to Bangkok Hua Lampong station (last stop) at 6:50 am. You will be met by our driver and transferred to your hotel.
Standard check-in time is 2 pm. Early check in is a subject of availability.
The rest of the day is yours free for you to explore Bangkok.

Day 6: Bangkok – Midnight Food tour by Tuk-tuk (B/D)
Day at leisure.
At 6 pm our tuk-tuk driver will meet you in the hotel and you will be transferred to the meeting point of the Midnight Food tour by Tuk-tuk.
With a local guide you will travel through streets of Bangkok, stopping at the dinner spots favoured by many Bangkokians. You will taste food from different regions of Thailand - Bangkok’s specialties, North-Easten (Isan) food, Central Thailand homemade snacks and more.
You will explore local Flower Market opened 24/7, see how traditional Thai dishes are made, learn a bit more about Thai history and culture, and enjoy cruising through the streets in a tuk-tuk. The food tour will finish in a local bar with great views. The tour will finish at 11:30 pm and you will be transferred back to your hotel.
Note - the tour is join-in and is not suitable for vegetarians.

Check out time is 12 pm (midday). If your flight departs in the evening, you can leave your bags in the hotel storage until your transfer arrives.
At agreed upon time your driver will be waiting for you in the hotel lobby. You will be transferred to the airport for your onwards flight.
