Spier, in the heart of the famous Cape Winelands is more than a hotel - it is a destination in itself. It is ideally located for a stay to soak up the many diverse leisure opportunities in the area as well as a colourful mix of top restaurants to choose from.

The 4-star Spier Hotel features village-style buildings, lush green lawns and spacious rooms situated next to the calming Eerste River. The rooms are clustered around six courtyards, with each courtyard boasting its own swimming pool. The design is reminiscent of the Bo-Kaap or Mediterranean villages where pedestrians have right of way.

Spier is a premier destination for families wanting to travel without compromising on luxury.

Spier has restored the farms Cape Dutch buildings. Inside these buildings and across the farm you will find artwork from the Spier Art Collection. They currently have one of the largest collections of contemporary works in the area.

There are many things to do at Spier from wine tasting, to relaxing at the spa, to enjoying a delicious meal at one of the restaurants or perhaps a picnic on the lawn. There is also lots for the little ones to do and Spier has a kids programme for those aged 2 - 12 which includes age appropriate crafts, family walks and story time...

Spier wines are among the most awarded in the country. Visit Spier, and enjoy them paired with wholesome, tasty food made with ingredients grown either on our farm or by trusted, nearby
farmers.

There is free-roaming livestock and chickens are reared in pastures without the use of antibiotics or hormones, while fruit, vegetables and vines grow without artificial fertilizer or pesticides. Extensive tracts of alien vegetation have been removed, and more than a million indigenous plants replanted. 100% of black- and grey-water and more than 98% of solid waste is recycled.

Spier believes we can make a difference through learning. They invest in Growing for Good, a range of learning initiatives that empower communities to make positive social and environmental change. These include Tree-preneurs, which encourages people in impoverished communities to grow trees in exchange for essential goods. A number of programs also offer young people work experience, training and mentorship in hospitality, agriculture, wine and art.
