Day 1: Arrival, Blue Lagoon and Reykjavik
Arrival at Keflavik International Airport.
Pick up your rental car at KEF airport and depart for Reykjavik. On route to Reykjavik stop at the Blue Lagoon. The Blue lagoon is considered one of the New Wonders of the World. Enjoy the relaxation in the geothermal waters. From Blue Lagoon drive to Reykjavik for a free day to explore the city.

Day 2: Gauksmyri
Leave Reykjavik and follow Road Nr 1 taking you North bound.
You can explore a few sites on the way, for example Hraunfossar Lava falls, and the historically important Reykholt
Your next destination is Gauksmyri Farm where you will be met with a personal and warm welcome. After checking in to your accommodation, enjoy a 1 hour Horse Back Riding tour.

Day 3: Hvitserkur and Siglufjorour
Depart from Gauksmyri and make your way further north towards Siglufjorour.

On the way, stop at Vatnsnes Peninsula, taking a look at the breathtaking Hvitserkur Rock Formation. If luck will have it you will also see seals, as the Vatnsnes Peninsula is home to a few seal colonies.

Head onwards to Siglufjorður, a charming fishing village nestled in between mountains.

Day 4: Akureyri and Myvatn
From Siglufjorour, drive to Akureyri for city sightseeing. Akureyri is a beautiful town and is called the capital of the north.

From Akureyri drive to the picturesque Myvatn Lake area. Make a stop at Gooafoss Waterfall on the way, see pseudo-craters, Dimmuborgir rock formations and finally bathe in the Myvatn Nature Baths.

Day 5: Eastfjords
It’s time to head to the Eastfjords of Iceland, home to our only forest and also the only place where Reindeer live. On route you will be able to see Lagarfljot lake and Dettifoss waterfall.

After exploring the area, check in to your hotel in Egilsstaoir.

Day 6: Glacier Lagoon
From Egilsstaoir, continue your journey on Iceland’s route 1 and head to the magnificent Vatnajokull Glacier area. Upon arriving at Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon make a photo stop and also brief stop at Diamond Beach. After, drive to Fjallsarlon Glacier Lagoon and enjoy a Zodiac boat ride, sailing between the floating icebergs.
There are also several well-planned hiking routes in Skaftafell National Park area.

Day 7: South Coast

Visit Thingvellir National Park, where the world’s first parliament, Althingi, was located. See the majestic Gullfoss Waterfall, and the infamous Geysir hot spring, which no longer erupts but Geysir’s little brother Strokkur erupts every 10-15 minutes.

From Gullfoss we will head to Langjokull Glacier, the second largest in Iceland, for a thrilling Snowmobile ride.
