Hello and Welcome to my Travel Counsellors Web Page. My name is Tracy Read and I am based in the pretty Durban suburb of Cowies Hill.
I pride myself on the privilege of thorough training, having started my career in the Travel Industry as a P.A. to the Director and Tours Co-ordinator at a large Durban based Travel Agency. Following this I worked for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, where I did fares training and learnt much about the airline industry, at KLM’s training headquarters at Schiphol, Amsterdam. After the birth of my first child I moved to Lufthansa and continued to grow my knowledge of the airline industry by participating in training at Lufthansa’s Head Office training department just outside Frankfurt. I thoroughly enjoyed my work with these two airlines but I felt the need to be more creative and I also wanted to work from home. I started travel consulting from home and after 5 years I began looking for a professional and dynamic company to align myself with, which I found in the Travel Counsellors brand. They offer me outstanding support and local & global deals that I can pass onto my clients.
My personal travel experience includes the UK, Turkey, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Comoros, Italy, Switzerland, Holland, Portugal, Germany, Mexico, Hong Kong, Zimbabwe, and many places in our beautiful South Africa. I loved the UK, and Mexico was a great adventure, having had the privilege of being shown around by a local. Destinations I look forward to visiting in the future are Australia, the Seychelles and Spain, amongst many others. I love assisting with the planning of eco, wellness, spiritual, family and gap year trips.
I take care in ensuring that all the nuts and bolts are sorted out prior to each client’s holiday thereby affording them a relaxing experience. With Travel Counsellors outstanding support I have no hesitation that I am able to deliver a professional and personal service to every client.
