Redberry Farm
I took my daughter and her friend for an outing, and thoroughly enjoyed the Saturday morning atmosphere. First, we had to have something to eat at the café, who make the best strawberry smoothies and milkshakes! Once our energy levels were up, they each took turns to race around the go cart track, feed the bunnies, ride the train (it was so nice they did it twice!) and finally – pick our very own strawberries!
What fun hunting for the juicy red strawberries and thinking up all the wonderful & yummy things we would make with them when we got home..* While they had a last play on the children’s play area (complete with an old golf cart, tractor, 4 wheeler, climbing frame & swings), I wandered around the large shop admiring all the strawberry and blueberry products, wines and beautiful goods on offer – the perfect way to spend a sunny day out on the Garden Route!
*When we got home, we cleaned, cut and froze the strawberries and used them to make delicious ice lollies, by combining frozen pineapple and coconut milk – YUMMO!
