A Whale of a time in Hermanus!
We stayed in a luxurious duplex style apartment. It was fully-equipped with all the modern facilities that one could wish for!
It had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs with the most amazing beds – we felt like we were sleeping on a cloud.
Downstairs it had an open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area – it is spacious & comfortable.
The Whale Coast Hotel is centrally located right in a Mall and as my daughter stated “I can't believe I am staying in a shopping centre!” – but oddly it works and it was one of our favourite stays on our holiday!
The next morning we enjoyed a fabulous full English breakfast in their allocated dining area. This was the perfect way to start the day. Later we went out and about and explored all the wonders that Hermanus holds. Hermanus is also one of the best Whale watching places in the world. You can get great sightings of these majestic creates from land.
Hermanus has been in my families blood for generations. My grandparents had a holiday home right on Voelklip Beach. This is located right next to Whale Coast Hotel’s sister property: Hermanus Beachfront hotel, which also looks like a great place to stay!) so it was a wonderful trip down family history lane too.
