Melody Hardman - Travel Agent Midrand

The year was 1996. It was a leap year, the one in which Sri Lanka won the Cricket World Cup. Atlanta hosted the Olympic Games, Dolly the cloned sheep was born in Scotland and Braveheart won an Oscar. It was also the year in which I, Melody Hardman began sending people around the globe. Some went to work, some went to relax and others to explore. For some it was the realisation of a lifelong dream to experience a journey so far removed from the mundane as they could imagine.

A flight across three time zones, snorkelling over the barrier reef and a dusty drive across the Australian outback to Ayres Rock is what fuelled my fire for travel. For me, there were no arduous career guidance sessions, no sleepless nights trying to decide on a path for the future. The career choice had been simple. Since then, the fusion of work and hobby has taken me from the glamorous beaches in the south of France to the mountains of India, from the idyllic palm-lined shores of the Comores to the frantic streets of New York, from the misty Scottish Highlands to the parched sands of Egypt. I have experienced the cultures of Israel and of the Far East, of Wales and of Ireland , I have ridden the rollercoaster’s at Disneyland and taken my shoes off at the Taj Mahaal, I have seen the sun rise over Durban ’s balmy ocean and set again over the icy Atlantic. I have crossed the Limpopo and stood at the top of Table Mountain.

I was born in Zimbabwe, I have lived in the Midlands, I have worked in Dublin and in London, but at last I have decided to settle in Gauteng. I have started my very own travel business working from home. With thirteen years of travel experience and the latest technology at my disposal, the support of the worldwide Travel Counsellors network (representation in 8 countries worldwide) and the flexibility to suit your schedule, there is nobody more suited to organising your next holiday trip. I am available at a time and place that best suits you.

As Mark Twain so succinctly said: “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore, Dream, Discover.”

Looking forward to hearing from you#

Melody
