Wedding Anniversary in Cape Town
Friday 22nd January 2010

We boarded our 1TIME flight and left OR Tambo to Cape Town for a wonderful weekend, away from everyday life and off course to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
The flight was without a hassle, the plane clean and service good. Within 2 hours we arrived in a sunny Cape Town, collected our Avis vehicle and were on our way to our hotel.
Staying at the Crystal Towers Hotel & Spa was a lovely experience. Located in the heart of the Century City urban hub, this African Pride Crystal Towers Hotel & Spa is settled beside a palm-lined canal, and boasts views that stretch out towards the majesty of Table Mountain.
We treated ourselves at the Live Day Spa and enjoyed a relaxing afternoon being pampered with massages. The spa is beautiful and the staff extremely competent and friendly. Afterwards we had sundowner drinks on the deck at the swimming pool with its magnificent views. Dinner on Friday night was at the Canal Walk shopping centre which boasts a wide variety of restaurants and shopping till late.
On Saturday we had breakfast and then drove to the Winelands for a picnic at Zorgvliet Wine Estate. What a wonderful afternoon we had. Zorgvliet Wine Estate is nestled in the beautiful Banhoek Valley near Stellenbosch overlooking majestic mountains and rolling vineyards offers luxury accommodation, conference facilities and a stunning wedding venue.
We visited friends in Paarl and then took a leisurely drive to Hout Bay, a little town surrounded by the ocean, wine farms and magnificent mountains. It was late when we drove back to the Crystal Towers after spending a wonderful day enjoying Cape Town and its surrounds.
On Sunday we drove to Camps Bay which is situated just behind Table Mountain, and nestled beneath Lions Head and the majestic Twelve Apostles, and boasting a magnificent palm fringed sandy beach, Camps Bay is a real gem. The cosmopolitan beachfront is vibrant and people visit the pavement cafes and restaurants whilst enjoying the ambience. After one last stroll on the beach we headed off to the airport for our flight home.
Cape Town is one of those places that you can visit many times and never get tired off what it has to offer.
