We were lucky enough to be hosted at the beautiful Askari Game Lodge. The Lodge is only 1 hours drive from Johannesburg on Plumari Private Game Reserve in the Magaliesberg.

If you’re looking for a relaxing bush getaway surrounded by the African wilderness, planning a unique bush wedding, or need a refreshing conference venue not far from Jo’burg or Pretoria, this is the place to be.

There is a wide range of accommodation options including executive, standard and deluxe rooms which can accommodate 48 singles or 96 guests sharing.

The lodge offers an array of exciting activities including Big 5 game drives, elephant touch and feed interactions, elephant walks, and hiking trails.

The staff were very friendly, and the beautiful restaurant looking out onto the reserve served us a delicious three course meal.
