My name is Elretha. I am a personal Travel Counsellor based in the picturesque town of Stillbay. In Stillbay we have nature, adventure and the best waves on our doorstep! I can make travel arrangements outside of Stillbay due to the fabulous technology at my finger tips.
Before I became a Travel Counsellor I worked for a small but very successful travel agency in Stellenbosch where I learned the importance and success of being available for my clients 24 hours a day and giving them the best personalised service possible. Having recently relocated to Stillbay I have put my travel experience to good use and have started my own travel business through Travel Counsellors who offer me fantastic admin and back-office support. This gives me more time to dedicate to my clients needs.
I have been fortunate to travel extensively to many parts of the world including UK, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, France, Italy, Greece, Egypt, Mauritius, Seychelles, India, Taiwan & Thailand.
My favourite destination is Thailand with all its many small Islands only accessible by boat which makes them unbelievably beautiful and unspoilt! With so many activities to choose from, Thailand is an absolute must for all nature and water lovers!
The South West of India (Kerala) is another destination I’m really passionate about. Ask a small child what the word “experience” means and probably the reply will be, ‘to feel something’. Isn’t that also a good description of travel at its best? When you connect with nature, community and ecology, when you become a participant rather than a passer-by, authentic experiences are born.
I have the flexibility of working from home, which means that unlike traditional travel agents I am not bound by traditional office hours. (I’m available 24/7) I can meet you at a time and place that best suits you! If the need arises I can meet you at your home, your office or even at your favourite coffee shop to discuss and plan your next holiday.
