Beachcomber Le Mauricia

Le Mauricia is a fun and exciting hotel. The hotel is located on the sun-drenched Northern Coast of Mauritius. I can see why so many South Africans love this hotel with its unusually relaxed atmosphere complimented with a party atmosphere. It is simple and cosy. The hospitality is out of this world. Nothing is too much for neither the Managers nor the reservation staffs. It made my day when we went for dinner and everybody at our table had a bread roll with their name on it. It is simple but very personnel.

The location of the hotel is superb. The hotel’s architecture and lay out provides sweeping views of the bay from the public areas. The hotel is within walking distance of the lively village of Grand-Baie, one of Mauritius’ main tourist hubs, and it provides its guests with a choice of restaurants, bars, discotheques and boutiques during their holiday in Mauritius. This adds a unique selling point to visitors to the hotel. There are really good diving sites around the Grand Baie area, so if that is your interest, stay in this area.

The rooms are all made out in the pinks and greens, all the cool colours with paintings of Frangipanis everywhere. It is really beautiful, cooling and relaxing. Most of the rooms face the bay; however you may have a few palm trees obstructing the view. I was fortunate to have a room overlooking the beach and the bay, with a little balcony.

The entertainment is wonderful. The colourful vibrancy of the band, accompanied with Mauritian vanilla rum, is delicious and is worth a try. After the live entertainment you can head off to the club. Le Mauricia is the only resort that has a club operating every night. It is great fun!

You must take the all inclusive package which means that your meals and drinks are all covered for and you don’t have to pay anything extra. It has huge benefits when trying to save money. The "Beachcomber All Inclusive Package" is fully interchangeable between Le Mauricia & Le Canonnier Hotels.

Le Mauricia offers a choice of two restaurants for lunch. Unlimited selected house wine and drinks is available during lunch and dinner.

Unlimited selected drinks from the bar lists are available between 09h00 and 23h00, including a selection of local beers, tea, coffee, soft drinks, cocktails and local liqueurs (drinks in the nightclub are not included).

Sandwiches are available at the bar between 10h00 and 16h00 and pancakes are available between 16h00 and 18h00.

Your mini bar I replenished daily. These are all part of your inclusions, which is value for money as I would call it.

The hotel is best suited to families, couples and groups of people. If you want to have loads of fun I would recommend that you stay at this hotel.

What a great hotel it comes highly recommended. Mauritius as a destination is fantastic and has so much to offer all travellers.

Regards Clare
