As your first trip as man and wife, honeymoons are important. They set the tone
for your life together and it’s a time that you’ll remember for many years to come.
You spent months pulling together a perfect wedding and now it’s time to relax and
enjoy this time as a newly united couple. Choosing the right destination is a critical
part of what makes a honeymoon successful. It should have plenty to offer him and
her. And, of course, it should be conducive to romance.
Are you content soaking up the sun and not having a schedule to follow? Or do you
like to make the most of every honeymoon minute with sports, excursions, day trips
and eco adventures? Perhaps you’d like a balance of both. That will help guide you
to the right honeymoon spot. Whether it’s an all-inclusive resort or a big city
hotel, many accommodations have special honeymoon packages available with perks
and extras for couples. But be sure to consult with your personal Travel Counsellor.
He or she has the expertise to find the best destination and best type of holiday
for you.
And remember that honeymoons aren’t a once in a lifetime trip. You can have an encore
honeymoon to celebrate your marriage milestones and anniversaries. Renew your vows
on the beach as the sun sinks slowly into the horizon; or have the captain of an
elegant cruise ship remarry you in front of family and friends as you glide through
tranquil, turquoise seas. These type of settings aren’t reserved exclusively for
Hollywood movies. You can step into your own scene, one that you designed, and make
your dreams come true.
Do you dream of walking down the Champs-Elysées in Paris? Can you imagine scuba
diving alongside sea turtles in Fiji? Will you have a couples’ massage at a spa
on a Caribbean island, or shop for home décor items in the souks of Morocco for
your new home together?
What’s your dream? Follow it and make it real with assistance from Travel Counsellors.

Although it was extremely hot it did not put a damper on my enthusiasm.
The Dubai airport in itself was an experience. Never have I ever seen an airport where it is evident that no costs were spared.
The Dubai Museum was my first stop. Al-Fahidi Fort is thought to be one of Dubai’s oldest buildings. In the olden days the fort was used to defend the town from warlike neighbouring tribes. (It became very clear to me while I was there that Dubai does not like to get involved with other peoples wars or problems.) Upon entering the museum I saw a collection of old maps as well as aerial photographs showing the vast expansion happening over the past years.
